About Steve

As owner of TranSound and Former CEO of Lime Street Sound,  Steve McGrath has worked extensively in the audio broadcast business for 25 years.

During that time his work was very diverse… From on site surround sound cave recordings for the award winning Dorothy Cross London  installation to ADR sessions for SDI Media’s ” little people” series..

He has mixed numerous documentaries and composed soundtracks including Celtic festival award winning “a boatload of Wild Irishmen” for LMDOC productions.

Being a regular Sound Mix supervisor for Coco Television,  he has recorded and mixed much of their broadcast output including the ever popular Room to Improve (6 series) and Don’t tell the Bride (6 series)..Both series of which now have International distribution

Steve has worked in conjunction with Macalla Teo as supervising sound engineer on over 300 hours of broadcast television including Irish language versions of SpongeBob,  Ben 10, and the Secret of Kells.

With the introduction of Steve’s new company Transound, his work is becoming more diverse, including mixing the latest Eco Eye series for Earth Horizon, Good Company’s HECTOR CENTRAL and Meeting with Ivor – A theatrically released long form doc edited by Cuan MacConghaille and directed by Alan Gilsenan.
